“I've been coming here for a little over two months now, and it's such a warm and inviting community space. Every teacher has their own style and I've learned so much from them, but I regularly especially attend Kayla's and Aqila's classes.”

“I can’t wait to go to more classes here. 11/10 recommend. My first class was such a good experience. The instructors were welcoming and completely nonjudgmental. The class options are also so good. I want to try them all.”

Who we are

Meet Aqila Norris the Founder
The vision behind Soul Work Studio is deeply rooted in my personal journey. I’ve always been a believer in love, joy, and soul. My journey into metaphysics began in 1996 under the mentorship of Lenore Briggs, founder of Lefferts Garden Montessori. Since then, I’ve embraced many roles—Yoga& Dance Teacher, Full-Spectrum Doula, Flower Essence Practitioner, and Metaphysical Minister. Above all, I consider myself a Soulworker—someone who serves through love, joy, and soulful expression.
Introduction
My soulwork journey began after experiencing a sudden and disorienting loss in 2013. For a time, I felt lost, but through the practice of soulwork and a mentor Dara Cole founder of Sacred yoga studio under whom I was certified, I found strength and resilience. This path called me back to my body and guided me from being a student to becoming a teacher. Today, I live authentically, embody the healing journey, and transform everything I touch.
